Network Assessment
Almost every business with a slow network blames its internet provider, and in roughly half the cases we have measured, the line was fine and the building was the problem: one access point covering three walls it cannot cross.
This is measurement rather than opinion. Signal at the places people actually work, throughput at different times of day, what the equipment reports about itself, and where the packets are actually going.
What it costs
$175 per hour Billed by the hour on site. A small office is usually two to three hours including the written findings; a warehouse or a multi-floor site takes longer and we will say so before starting.
Who this is for
- An office where video calls drop in one particular room and nobody has ever measured why.
- A business that has upgraded its internet plan twice with no improvement.
- A business moving into a new space and wanting to know what it needs before the cabling goes in.
Who this is not for
- You already know what is wrong
- If somebody has already told you the access point is in the wrong place, pay for moving it rather than for measuring it again. Office Network Setup is the hourly rate for doing the work.
- The problem is one computer
- Then it is not the network, and an assessment will confirm that at $175 an hour. Residential or office maintenance is the cheaper way to look at one machine.
- You want us to certify the cabling
- We measure and report; we are not a cabling certification house. If a contract requires certified runs, that is a different trade and we will point you at it.
Worth having alongside
- Office Network SetupThe assessment says what is wrong. This is the hourly rate for fixing it.
- Security AuditA network that works and a network nobody can walk into are two different questions, and both get asked eventually.
- Office IT MaintenanceNetworks drift. Somebody looking at it regularly is how it stops being an emergency.
